How The Billing Works

If you order a handset and mobile service your activation fee of $15.00 will be waived. If you only order a SIM (service) you will be charged $15.00. This will appear on your set up invoice which you will receive via email shortly after you order.

You are billed for your service every month. The billing period is the 24th of one month to the 23rd of the next (i.e. 24th March – 23rd of April). By the first of the month you will receive your invoice via the email address you have provided. Your credit card or Australian bank account will be debited between the 10th and 12th of the following month.

How the Talk Down Under billing cycle works

Your Invoice is debited in arrears

Our service is not pre paid. Your account is debited in arrears. You are billed for your minimum commitment plus any calls, text, etc that you have used over and above your included spend amount.

Your First Invoice

Your first invoice is prorated for the days your account has been active. That is if your account was activated on the 10th of the month you will be billed for only 13 days because our bill cycle runs from the 24th of the month to the following 23rd.

So if you are on a $45.00 plan you will be charged $19.50 and receive $19.50 of included calls plus any excess usage.

Manage Your Account

You are able to manage your account in several ways.

  1. View your current and past accounts online. Just go to www.talkdownunder.com and click help and support. You will see the tab “Manage Your Account”. On ordering you will receive an email advising you of your account number and password so you can log in and view your account. Please note that calls, text, etc for the previous 48 hours are NOT included in this amount.
  2. Email Alerts. Every week you will receive and email advising you of your current account status (amount) Please note that calls, text, etc for the previous 48 hours are NOT included in this amount.
  3. Text Alerts (optional – cost $1.00 per month)

We will send you a text alert every week advising you of your current account status (amount) Please note that calls, text, etc for the previous 48 hours are NOT included in this amount.

Let us know when you are leaving

Be sure to let us know when you are leaving either when you order or later by email. This way we can cancel your service and no future charges will be incurred. Remember you are able to cancel at anytime without charge.

 

Direct Debit

We automatically deduct your monthly bill from the nominated credit card you use when you sign up to a Talk Down Under service.
